Description

4 sessions

Cost:  $60

Skill level:  Intermediate.  I’d prefer that you know how to knit and purl before you take this class.

You may have conquered knitting socks from the cuff down to the toe (or maybe you haven't yet!), but have you tried knitting them from the toe up?  While knitting socks in a new direction, you can try the newly popular techniques of knitting small circumferences on either one or two long circular needles.

In this class, you will learn how to knit a very simple pair of socks from the toe up.

Materials

  • Yarn – Two to three 50 gram skeins of any yarn.
  • Needles – One circular needle, at least 32 inches in length, in a size appropriate to the yarn chosen, but bring everything you have in case you want to adjust the needle size.
  • Stitch markers
  • Sharp tapestry needle
  • Coilless safety pins
  • Scissors
