Tired of knitting back and forth? Ready to move on? Expand your horizons with a variety of circular knitting techniques. Learn to knit in the round using double points, one circular, two circulars, and the magic loop, with i-cord and a little double knitting thrown in for good measure. You’ll be ready to make seamless sweaters, sleeves, gloves, bags, and socks (even two at a time!), and much, much more.
Project
In this class, you will make a small bag and a series of additional swatches. Homework must be completed prior to the class.
Materials
- Yarn – 75 grams of smooth, worsted weight yarn (main color)
- Yarn – 50 grams each of TWO contrasting colors of smooth, worsted weight yarn.
- Needles – U.S. size 7 (4.5 mm) 16” circular needle
- Needles – U.S. size 7 (4.5 mm) 40” or longer circular needle
- Needles – U.S. size 7 (4.5 mm) double pointed needles
- Stitch marker
- Safety pin
- Darning needle
HOMEWORK (must be completed before class)
